Deutsch: Das Josephinum an der Adresse Währinger Straße 25 im 9. Wiener Gemeindebezirk Alsergrund.
Das Josephinum wurde von Kaiser Joseph II. im Rahmen seiner radikalen Reformen als militär-chirurgische Akademie gegründetː [1]. Errichtet wurde es ab 1783 nach Plänen des Hofarchitekten Isidore Canevale und am 7. November 1785 eröffnetː [2]. Von Februar 2015 bis Mai 2018 erfolgte eine Außenrenovierung um 3,1 Millionen Euro und von 2019 bis 2022 eine Innenrenovierung um 11 Mio. Euroː [3] (Eröffnung am 29. September 2022ː [4]). Das Josephinum beherbergt mehrere Institute der Medizinischen Universität Wien und das Medizinhistorisches Museum. Dabei werden unter anderem über 1000 historische Wachsmodelle gezeigt.
