Español: El lienzo muestra a Jesucristo recogiendo sus vestiduras tras haber sido azotado, y conviene señalar que algunos autores afirman que ese tema comenzó a ser representado en el arte en el siglo XVI y en Italia, y que no es tan común como el de Cristo atado a la columna, aunque sí se extendió en el arte español a lo largo del siglo XVII.
