Notes The painter made two copies of the work in 1736. One, hanging in the Governor's mansion at Richmond in 1952, was presented by Philip A. Spotswood to the Commonwealth of Virginia in 1874. Another, which this image is of, was sold to Colonial Williamsburg, Incorporated, by I. N. (Louisa Beverley Turner) Jones.[1]
