Alan Sinclair Paterson (1928–1999), a British track and field athlete who competed in the high jump, from 1944 until 1952, when he quit competition. This picture was on a card published by Godfrey Phillips Ltd.

Note: A full effort has been made to discover the identity of the photographer, via libraries, books, archives, internet, collections, magazines etc., but none was found.
