English: Part of the Aegina treasure. This golden ornament is based on a lions head. It is connected with a hollow, semicircular receptacle by a pin. From the lions collar four short chains are hanging, two are ending in eggs, two in figurines of flying birds, probably ducks. From the receptacle three more bird figurines are hanging, identical to each other but different from the upper birds. The pin originally held a connecting piece between the head and the receptacle, it was make from perishable material and is lost. British Museum Catalogue Jewellery #746. Description after Higgins: The Aegina Treasure, 1979
