Summary

This is a composite of two images from Adventures of Superman (TV series), frames from the DVDs, scaled down by about half. At left is from the standard intro to the first season. At right is a different "take" that was utilized in a segment of the episode "The Birthday Letter". Thus the first-season episode "The Birthday Letter" has both versions, at the beginning and near the end. The actor pointing skyward in both cases is Steve Carr, brother of Tommy Carr who directed many of the first-season episodes and also often featured Steve as an uncredited supporting player. Steve was typically listed among the crew credits, though.
