Description
English: On April 3 of 2011 the Opening Ceremony of the Celebration of the Instructions of the Year XIII was held in Uruguay. The event was framed in the commemoration of the Bicentennial of Uruguay, which took place during that year. The ceremony took place in Montevideo, attended by more than 500 children from 19 schools across the country. This photograph was taken by Karin Porley von Bergen for the Secretariat of the Bicentennial, which is attached to the Bicentennial Commission, which, in turn is made up of officials from all political parties, various ministries and agencies of Uruguay.
Español: El 3 de abril del año 2011 se realizó en Uruguay, la Ceremonia de Apertura de los Festejos del Año XIII. Dicho evento estuvo enmarcado en las actividades conmemorativas del Bicentenario de Uruguay, las cuales tuvieron lugar durante ese año. En a ceremonia, que tuvo lugar en Montevideo, participaron mas de 500 niños de 19 escuelas de todo el país.
La fotografía fue tomada por Karin Porley von Bergen para la Secretaría del Bicentenario, dependiente de la Comisión del Bicentenario, la cual está conformada por autoridades de todos los partidos políticos, de diferentes Ministerios y organismos públicos de Uruguay.
