This, we believe, is a Welsh rugby team from Aberavon on their Irish Tour in 1909. They had played a match at the Mardyke in Cork the day before this photo was taken, and there's a very scathing report on the play in the Freeman's Journal:
"The match between Aberavon (Wales) and Cork County was played yesterday on the Mardyke grounds. The game right through was very rough, and presented no brilliant features whatever.
Result: Aberavon - 1 try; Cork - Nil."
Not sure where this photo was taken, but most probably at some sports ground in Waterford. As usual, any and all suggestions will be entertained...
