Description
English: I like a teacher who gives you something to take home to think about besides homework.

A 96 year old Mr. Langlands, a British major works full-time as Principal of the Langlands School and College in Chitral, Pakistan. He is responsible for educating 900 pupils between the ages of 4 – 18. He is very respected by many distinguished people in Pakistan and the UK and he is looking for a successor. Mr. Langland joined Pakistan army right after the partition. After his retirement he was asked by the government of Pakistan to teach at Aitchison College as he was a teacher before participating in WWII. He served Aitchison College 2 years and among his bright students were Imran Khan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, late Farooq Ahmed Khan Leghari (ex president of Pakistan), Wasif Ali Khan and many more. Some of the Mr. major Langlands has received awards thus far includes:

  1. Hilal-e-Imtiaz, Pakistan 2011.
  2. Sitara-e-Pakistan, 2004
  3. Sitara-e-Pakistan 1987
  4. M.B.E (By queen Elizabeth) 1982
  5. CMG 2010.
  6. Silver Plate by Pakistan Society London 2010.
