English: MAJOR-GENERAL A.S. ALLEN, CB., CBE., DSO., VD., GENERAL-OFFICER-COMMANDING 7TH AUSTRALIAN DIVISION (LEFT) AND BRIGADIER K.W. EATHER, COMMANDING 25TH AUSTRALIAN INFANTRY BRIGADE, (CENTRE). THEY WERE PHOTOGRAPHED IN THE DEEP JUNGLE AT A FORWARD POSITION DISCUSSING AN ATTACK THAT WAS TO BE MADE ON THE JAPANESE POSITIONS. THE THIRD FIGURE IS NX77383 LIEUTENANT DALRYMPLE DISNEY HARRIS (DAL) FAYLE, THE AIDE-DE-CAMP TO GENERAL ALLEN.
