Deutsch: Kapfenstein, eine der wichtigsten Festungen gegen Ungarn und durch die Wolfsauer, die es 1422 erwarben, durch ihre Fehde traurigst berühmt geworden, war von Juta von Feistritz an die Kapfensteiner gekommen. Ludwinus de Chaphenstain war 1197 im Gefolge des Erzbischofs, vor 1214 bezeugte Ludwicus de Chaphinstein eine Rechtshandlung der Elisabeth von Gutenberg, der Witwe Liutholds des Jüngeren. Das Wappen der Kapfensteiner griff die Gemeinde unverändert zu ihrem Wappen auf.
