Description
English: About 1,000 activists protesting the alleged slow pace of federal research against AIDS spent the morning of May 21, 1990 demonstrating at the NIH campus. The event was timed to coincide with an NIAID advisory council meeting at which research directions for the institute—NIH's lead AIDS research component—were discussed.
