English: ABRAM DEMAREE WAS A FRENCH HUGUENOT; HE BUILT THE FIRST AND SMALLER SECTION IN 1720 AND HIS SON BUILT THE LARGER SECTION IN 1809. ABRAM DEMAREE WAS A MERCHANT AND RAN A STORE AND A TAVERN. IN 1915 F.M. CURTIS PURCHASED THE PROPERTY AND RAN AN ANTIQUE SHOP
