Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_89480_DSC01770.JPG Notes: הווילה נבנתה על ידי איש העסקים הערבי-נוצרי קונסטנטין סלאמה ב 1935. סלאמה, ממייסדי שכונת טלביה, עסק במסחר והיה בין היתר היבואן של מכוניות פורד וספק הירקות והפירות של הצבא הבריטי ששלט בארץ ישראל. הוא שמר סלאמה על קשרים הדוקים עם אישים ידועים בציבור היהודי באותה תקופה בירושלים המנדטורית. לתכנון הבית התקשר עם האדריכל הצרפתי מרסל פאבייה, לאחר שהתרשם מעבודתו בתכנון בית הקונסוליה הצרפתית בירושלים, והנחה אותו לתכנן בית "שאין לאף אחד אחר במזרח התיכון", ועל כן הוילה זכתה לכינוי הארמון של סלאמה (ויקיפדיה) Location: בלפור 22 ירושלים |
