Description76th St Pitkin Av td 06 - IND Subway via Pitkin Av.jpg
English: The intersection of Pitkin Avenue and 76th Street (Emerald Street) in Ozone Park, Queens just east of City Line, Brooklyn. This is the site of the once planned 76th Street IND subway station, which was proposed as part of an extension of the Fulton Street subway; it was never officially constructed, but several rumors persist that it was partially built in the 1940s/1950s. The absence of typical subway infrastructure, mainly street grates, would suggest that the station was not built. However, many of the houses in the area were built in the 1950s or even later, and satelite images from that time show that much of the area was vacant and undeveloped. So, it's not impossible.
