Description6in Mark VII gun replica at Leighton Battery, April 2020.jpg
English: A 6in Mark VII gun replica at Leighton Battery, Western Australia: According to signage, the two guns were once part of the Fremantle Fortress. The original guns were transferred to Albany in 1945 and replaced by anti-aircraft guns. In 1998, a MKXI barrel from the Bickley Battery, Rottnest Island, was installed at location, the gun itself having originally come from the Chatham-class light cruiser HMAS Sydney. The shield, originally from the HMAS Adelaide, was donated by the Mornington Peninsular Shire and installed at location in 2015 to replicate the original war time guns.
