Description
English: Commodore RK Dhingra, Commodore Commanding Submarines (West), laid a wreath on the occasion of 54th Submarine Day at the Submarine Memorial on 08 December 2021 at INS Vajrabahu, Naval Dockyard, Mumbai, to honour all submariners that made the ultimate sacrifice in service of the nation. All Submarine Commanding Officers, Officers-in-Charge and Senior Officers of COMCOS organisation were present at the ceremony. Submarine Day is celebrated to commemorate the induction and maiden unfurling of the Indian Navy's White Ensign on its first submarine, INS Kalvari, at Riga, USSR on 08 December 1967.
