Summary

Description
English: Whale Oil Row, located at 105-119 Huntington Street in New London, Connecticut, is a row of four Greek Revival houses built from 1835 to 1845 for developer Ezra Chappel by Charles Henry Boebe. They were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. The name "Whale Oil Row" came from three of the original owners having earned their money in the whaling industry – two owned whaling ships, and the third was a merchant – while the fourth was a physician. {Description source: [1])
