Description Tinted postcard postmarked 1928 showing view from the third Herne Bay Pier. The original black and white photograph could have been taken some years earlier. A pier in 1928 gave access to a novel view of the town, for those who had no access to ships. The card is postmarked 1928 but the scene was photographed at some time between 1924 when the central bandstand was built, and 1928.
