Description3D Model of the Main Gallery in Skednena jama Cave.svg
English: The map shows a 3D model of the Main gallery in Skednena jama cave, Slovenia. As opposed to standard cave survey where only selected points on the cave floor are measured, the cave was divided into sections, spanning from one cross-section (each defined by 5 points or more) to another. In 1974 the cross section points were measured by Primož Jakopin with the assistance of cavers from his grotto, DZRJL (Cave research Society of Ljubljana), mainly by Jaka Jakofčič. In 1979 Jakopin completed the computer program for generation of 3D cave model. The results were published in 1981, in the paper Macrostereological Evaluation of Cave Space. Proceedings of the 3rd European symposium for stereology, Ljubljana 1981, p. 621-628.
