Description30 years of progress, 1934-1964 - Bushwick Expressway.jpg
English: A cropped highway map from the 1964 NYC Parks Department book, "30 years of progress". Highlighted in red is the proposed but never-constructed Bushwick Expressway, running from Howard Beach, Queens along the existing Conduit Boulevard through northern/central Brooklyn to the Williamsburg Bridge and Queens Midtown Tunnel. The route would have been part of Interstate 78 and/or Interstate 878, along with the Holland Tunnel, Lower Manhattan Expressway, and Nassau Expressway.
