Deutsch: Flug des Lilienthal Doppeldeckers Der Doppeldecker war im Otto-Lilienthal-Museum in Anklam aus authentischen Materialien (Weidenruten, Hanfseil, Shirting und Stahldraht) nach erhaltenen Plänen Lilienthals und Stoffanalysen erhalten gebliebener Gleiter gebaut worden. Der Doppeldecker wurde im Laufe des Jahres bei Schleppversuchen an einer Seilwinde getestet. Die dabei ermittelten Flugeigenschaften dienten der Einstellung der Seillängen mittels Spannschlössern, die Otto Lilienthal extra für diesen Zweck entwickelt hatte. Die Flugversuche fanden zwischen dem 21. und 30. Juli 2019 an der Pazifikküste Kaliforniens nahe der Stadt Monterey statt, wo konstant günstige Windbedingungen herrschen. (Textquelle: www.dlr.de) |
