The banners and posters carry an image of the reliquary bust of Saint Servatius. The history of the Heiligdomsvaart goes back to the Middle Ages. The first 'modern' version of this seven-yearly, ten-day catholic pilgrimage took place in 1874. The 2018 Heiligdomsvaart was the 55th modern edition. |
