English: Detail of the south corridor of the cloisters of the Kruisherenklooster in Maastricht, the Netherlands. The Gothic Monastery of the Crutched Friars dates from the 15th century and in 2005 was converted into a luxury hotel, the Kruisherenhotel. The architectural detail shown here is a lavabo, situated in a slightly projecting part of the cloister corridor, used as a washroom. The ledger stone was probably moved here from the church in the 19th or 20th century. |
