Description2017 Hobart Building 582-92 Market Street closeup.jpg
English: The Hobart Building is an office high rise located at 582–592 Market Street, near Montgomery and 2nd Streets, in the financial district of San Francisco. It was completed in 1914 after only eleven months, which led to accusations that it had been constructed with a degree of recklessness. It was at the time the second tallest building in the city, at 21 floors and 87 m (285 ft). It was designed by Willis Polk; its odd shape is due to the asymmetircal dimensions of the plot of land it is on, made odder still by the razing of a neighboring building.
