English: Sarcophagus of the Holy Bishops in the vieringscrypte ("crossing crypt"), one of four crypts in the Basilica of Saint Servatius in Maastricht, the Netherlands. The stone sarcophagus originally contained the relics of four holy bishops of Tongeren-Maastricht Candidus, Gondulph, Valentinus and Monulph, who are also depicted on the outside. The relics were later removed and placed in gilded reliquaries. The sarcophagus may be late Antique, the paintwork probably dates from the 17th century.
