After the conversion of the international railway line between Montzen (B) and Aachen (D) to electrical traction, this series of locs has lost his major duty and was retired from commercial service and dropped to the infrastructure divison of the Belgian railways to haul work trains.

Suite à l'électrification de la ligne internationale Montzen (B) - Aix la Chapelle (D), cette série a perdu son dernier service commercial et a été versée au service infrastructure pour la remorque des trains de chantier, en remplacement des séries 52-53-54 qui jouaient ce rôle jusque là. |
