SVG version of 2008 Democratic Primaries Delegate Vote.png. Delegate Count, Margins by State, US Democratic Presidential Primaries 2008. Pledged Delegate margins by state. Obama won the delegate count in the darkest purple states by the largest margins, while Clinton won the delegate count in the darkest green states by the largest margins. They tied in MO, NH, and GU. An alternate map exists depicting winners by popular vote. NOTE: This map is intended to reflect "election results." It reflects delegate changes that occur in states where delegates are selected through multiple events (e.g. IA, TX) but not delegate changes that have occurred in other states where bound delegates have indicated an intention to vote otherwise at the convention (e.g. NH, MD). Asterisks mark the disputed primaries of Florida and Michigan, which were originally nullified by the DNC, but later had their half of their delegate votes restored.
