Summary

Description

Asteroid 2007 TU24 as imaged by radar on January 28, 2008, about twelve hours before its closest approach to Earth.

To produce the image, two large radio telescopes were used. The Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico broadcast a radar pulse which was recorded by the Green Bank Telescope in West Virginia.
