1. it is a single screenshot from a historically significant feature-length film;
2. it is of much lower resolution than the original (copies made from it will be of very inferior quality);
3. its use does not impair the copyright holder's ability to sell or promote the film in any way;
4. it is being used only for informational purposes; and
5. its inclusion adds significantly to the article because it supports a discussion in the accompanying text of one of the most notable European films of the genre and one of the earliest examples of neo-noir, and specifically of the manner in which it pays homage to noir icon Humphrey Bogart through his imitation by the character played by Belmondo, as depicted in the image.

This image is a screenshot from a copyrighted film, and the copyright for it is most likely owned by the studio which produced the film, and possibly also by any actors appearing in the screenshot.
