Summary

Description
English: A 1977 International Scout SSII Baja Cruiser in what looks like Fire Orange (3195) with Tanbark upholstery seen at the 2023 Greenwich Concours d'Elegance. 345 V8 engine and an automatic; 783 examples of the SSII were built this year. This rather rare package was intended for off-roading enthusiasts and included switchable four-wheel drive, a skid plate for the fuel tank, a soft top with removable soft doors (by Whitco, with slapdash inserts), and a roll bar. In terms of appearance, buyers got a front brush bar, a different grill insert, and the spiffy graphics for the Sport and Baja Cruiser sub-variants. No graphics for the bare-bones Rancher Special or the Brush Buster. This is the top Baja Cruiser model which also incorporates a center console and a radio; it and the Sport also came with these white, 8-spoke wheels with (white-lettered for the Baja Cruiser) 10x15 Goodyear Tracker off-road tires and rubber wheelwell extensions
