| Description |
English: Soap Box Derby racer built and piloted by Robert (Bob) L. Javens of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania who won the local championship in 1969. Bob qualified for the All-American National Championship in Akron that same year. His racer was a curvilinear, wedge-shaped design, low and narrow, and fitted with a rubber tonneau that covered the car's occupant to cut wind resistance. Also fitted was an external steering mechanism, a new technology at the time that was used widely on racers in 1969. This steering configuration was phased out by 1972.
