Summary

Description
English: Example of one of the posting boxes painted in Post Office red, set up in department stores around London. These included Arding & Hobbs, Harrods and Selfridges. Mail was collected regularly by vans chartered from Messrs McNamara with the words

‘Aerial Post Collecting Van’ on the side.
