English: A 1899 handwritten page by Eugenio Pacelli. This is a noteworthy document because the page is small, about 10 centimetres high, and the handwriting is extremely small and exact.

Latina: Ad n. 57. Cum de societate loquimur, distinguenda est perfectio viris et perfectio facti. Perfectio viris tunc habetur, cum societas sibi ipsi in suo ordine sufficit et est independens, i. e. ius perfectum habet ad id omne quod ipsi est in suo ordine necessarium, ac proinde est in eodem ordine independens. Tunc autem et perfectio facti habebitur, cum reapse ac de facto societas media sufficientia ad suum finem obtinendum possidebit, eiusque independentia violata non erit. -- Cavagnis, Nozioni etc. n. 50. Hac distinctione utemur, .... Hinc in definitione societatis perfectae (perf. iuris) dicitur: "quae quoad ius est sibi in suo ordine sufficiens ac independens."
