Summary

Description

This 1891 Panhard et Levsassor P2C (chassis type A, 2 seat phaeton) was the 4th car produced by the company in 1891. Verified by the numbers 7 and 8 found tamped on the front stub axles.

The car was 'modernised' in 1902 with the fitment of a steering wheel, new engine, a radiator and a 'streamlined bonnet'. It made the car look the others at the time and stayed that way until the mid 1980's when it was restored back to its original configuration.

(Was difficult to wait until no one was around to take the picture as they surrounded the car, so much so I zoomed in a bit too much in that split second when the area was clear. I decided be creative here using Photomatix)
