Description
Von diesem weltbekannten Bild gibt es drei Versionen in annähernd gleicher Proportion, jedoch in unterschiedlichen Größen. Die beiden anderen Fassungen, eine im New Yorker Metropolitan Museum von 1853/55, die andere in der Londoner National Gallery von 1855, sind wesentlich bekannter als die in der Husumer Nissen-Sammlung. Dennoch ist die kleinste Fassung, nämlich die in Husum, eine besondere - ist sie doch die einzige, die in das Jahr 1853 datiert ist.
