The Capped Bust design, in use on the half dollar (1807-1839), the quarter (1815-1838), and both the dime and half dime (1809-1837) was designed by Chief Engraver of the United States Mint William Kneass.

All negatives, plates, positives, digitized storage medium, graphic files, magnetic medium, optical storage devices, and any other thing used in the making of the illustration that contain an image of the illustration or any part thereof are destroyed and/or deleted or erased after their final use.
