English: Nelson's Monument : Standing Stone selected from a few other similar thin granite stones lying in a field named Barra Na Cabar about 1 mile away, Nelson's Monument was erected on a hilltop in the center of the village of Taynuilt to commemorate the Death of Admiral Horace Nelson at the victorious Battle of Trafalgar, 21 October 1805, by workers of the nearby Bonawe Historic Iron Furnace which produced, among other goods, cannonballs during the napoléonic wars.
