Built in 1915, the residence at 1725 S Street, N.W., is an example of Classical Revival architecture. The building's third floor currently serves as offices for Pause and Rewind, a medical spa. Built in 1911, the residence at 1727 S Street, N.W., – historically known as the Corrigan v. Buckley Site – is an example of Colonial Revival architecture. Previous occupants include U.S. Representative David J. Foster; in addition, the building previously served as offices for the African-American Relations House (also known as the Africa House) and the All African Students Union of the Americas. Both homes are designated as contributing properties to the Dupont Circle Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. |
