Summary

Description
English: 1538 comparison of Hebrew and Arabic, Guillaume Postel. Possibly the earliest such comparison in Western European literature (see Merritt Ruhlen p.77

Errata:

A: Line 10 Heb. Transliteration is missing a letter. "an" should be "ani". (see the Aribicae column for correct (identical) pronunciation).

B: Lines 12 and 13 in the Heb. Transliteration of words עינ and בית are incorrect most likely due to a placement error by the printer. The incorrect appearance of two letters after "עינ - in" is "it". The word בית on line 13 is correspondingly missing those two letters. The correct placements would be Line 12: עינ - "in" (preferably "ayin" or "ein" in modern pronunciation) and Line 13: בית - "bait"

C: The second and third to bottom lines are switched in their Heb. Transliteration. "etzem" and "teba" should be switched (see Aribicae column for correct (identical) pronunciation).
