English: 1225 19th Street NW in Washington, D.C., in the United States. This image is looking northeast. The structure is known as the Jefferson Building, designed by Vlastimil Koubek and erected in 1963. It became home to the upscale The Palm steak restaurant in December 1972. At some point between 1972 and 2005, the building's exterior reflecting pool and fountains were replaced by single-story, aluminum-and-glass extension of the restraurant onto the plaza area. A garden and small trees were also added around this extension.
