On the basis of Art. 3 of the law on amendment and addition to the Decision of the Anti-fascist Assembly for the National Liberation of Macedonia on the constitution of ASNOM as the supreme legislative and executive body of the state government in Macedonia, the Presidium of the National Assembly at its session of 8. IX. 1945 passed the following law on declaring the day of the national uprising in Macedonia a national holiday.
Art.1 In order to celebrate the memory of the day when the first insurgent rifles were fired in Macedonia against the Fascist occupiers and their servants, October 11 is declared a national holiday, which will be celebrated every year as the day when the national uprising started in Macedonia against the fascist conquerors and their servants.
Art. 2 This law enters into force from the day of its publication in the Official Gazette of Federal Macedonia.
