Description(Mini) Desert storm in Toronto (52960497755).jpg
It's been very dry in the last month across much of Canada since the spring (2023).
Canada has made news all over the world recently for the wrong reason. A drought across the wide span of Canada has led to forest fires/ wildfires from the West Coast all the way to the East Coast.
Forest fires in Western Quebec coupled with the right (or more like the wrong) winds resulted in very poor air quality haze and smoke across vast areas of North America from Ontario all the way down to Tennessee.
The most affected cities have been Ottawa, Toronto, Buffalo, New York City and Washington DC.
Conditions can change from time to time depending on weather conditions. Even though New York City is some 800 km farther from the fires than Toronto is, they have experienced much worse conditions than us.
