English: Bract of Macaranga tanarius. Native to Taiwan. The flowers are small, without petals, and dioecious. Uses: The wood is light and soft, and can be used for construction and box board; the bark and leaf powder can be used as preservative; the leaves can be used as feed for sheep, cattle or deer; in addition, its bark and root can be used as medicine to treat dysentery and coughing up blood respectively.
