На момент съёмки Скоморохов совершил свыше 300 боевых вылетов, сбил 13 самолётов противника лично и 6 в составе группы. Фотография была опубликована в газете 17-й воздушной армии «Защитник отечества» № 62 за 12 марта 1944 года |
