English: The fountain of "Ålefangeren" (English: The Eel-catcher) on the square in front of Mejlborg. Mejlborg is the name of the large housing block behind the square. It was built in 1896-98 and was reconstructed from the ground up, after a devastating fire in 1899, almost as a replicate. Sophus Frederik Kühnel was architect on both the building and the reconstruction. It is built as luxury apartments for the wealthy bourgeoisie, but have a history of also housing restaurants, a hotel and other enterprises.
