English: The village Ánir and the port Norðhavn seen from a boat on the sea in May 2013. The population of Ánir is 55 as of 1 January 2013, it was 16 in January 2007. The increasing number of inhabitants is because of the new appartments which are built above the harbour of Norðhavn. In summertime cruis ships embark at this harbour. The ships on this photo are Faroese trawlers. Ánir is located 3 km north of Klaksvík, which is the capital of the Northern Islands, a group of islands in the north-east part of the Faroes.
