English: "Old Identities" Albert Hotel, Wellington, New Zealand circa 1900

"This building was erected and dedicated to the old identities by John Plimmer in 1879. It was demolished in 1929. Some of the sculptured heads are now held at Te Papa." "Each upper window is adorned with a sculptured head of an old identity. The statue on the skyline to the left is of Edward Gibbon Wakefield. Photograph taken by the Tyree Brothers circa 1900."
