Description"All felled, felled, are all felled" - geograph.org.uk - 955436.jpg
English: "All felled, felled, are all felled" "Binsey Poplars" by Gerard Manley Hopkins contains this line and is a lament for trees felled near Oxford. These 130 poplars grew near East Bergholt and their felling may not be mourned. They had to be removed because several had fallen across the nearby road in recent times and also it is felt that they were not in keeping with the native trees in this area of natural beauty.
