Draft talk:Wolfgang Mückenheim
Mückenheim page needs correct English
[edit]This page is mainly a translation of the German Wikipedia article. Since I am German it would be nice if a native speaker could lookover the text. Praetor71 (talk) 09:20, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
- Please revise the draft, both removing over claims and trying to demonstrate notability. Criteria are different in the English Wikipedia. Ldm1954 (talk) 13:15, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
Feedback from New Page Review process
[edit]I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: There are far too many issues with this page. In addition to those others have already tagged, his notability is very unclear. Worst, many claims go too far. For instance the draft said he developed the commercial eximer laser -- no, he was part of a team. Similarly the extended probabilities is cited as his work, but that is a multiauthor paper.

- Mückenheim did not develop the excimer laser but the first commercial tunable excimer laser EMG 150. This cannot be verified however by indepedent sources. So I have dropped it. The review of extended probabilities is his work. Only in one chapter some independent scholars have contributed on invitation. Note the more than 200 citations of this theory in Wolfgang Mückenheim at google.scholar.
- Notability: Mückenheim was the first to give a resolution of the EPR-paradox, see Bibliography:
His position as head of R&D is noted in "LASER Jahrbuch 1. Ausgabe, Vulkan-Verlag, Essen(1988), ISBN 3-8027-238-1", where he was a member of the scientific Beirat (Council) and is noted as "Lambda Physik, Leiter Forschung und Entwicklung". Praetor71 (talk) 08:08, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
